Legislative Advocacy Committee (LAC)

Mission

The Legislative Advocacy Committee (LAC) of the NLSVCC monitors federal and state legislation and regulations pertaining to veterans, advocates on behalf of the Consortium and its members and clients in such matters, and advises the Board of Directors on issues related to legislative and regulatory advocacy.

Areas of Focus and Interest

The LAC’s areas of focus include
a. pending federal and state legislation and regulations that affect veterans’ access to the judicial system, administrative agencies or in any other area of law;
b. promoting law reform in the interest of the veterans; and
c. supporting lawyers and law school clinics in carrying out their efforts to assist veterans.
